HOD’s Desk

The Department of Biotechnology, provides in-depth knowledge to the students for success in various aspects of Biotechnology. We adopt a special teaching pattern, in which students does not entirely depend on text book knowledge. They are taught how to interpret or understand Research articles and also, and they are familiarized with various laboratory skills.

We also encourage students to build their careers as entrepreneurs. We provide them knowledge regarding, how to attain capital assistance to build up their own start-up companies. The department holds an average placement percentage of about 85%. Our students have been placed in companies like Biocon, Thermofisher, G-42, Etihad Airways (in food safety department), Agape, AVT Biotech, Syngene etc. Our students have put effort in writing chapters for academic books, which has been used for teaching in various parts of the world. Our students have also published papers in relevant scientific journals.

Finally, even after successfully passing out from the department, they are part of our alumini association. We invite our alumini to deliver speech on various seminars or webinars conducted as part of International Lecture Series. In other words, they are always part of our growing MAC Biotechnology family.
