Management

 Mar Athanasius College Association was constituted as a society registered under the Cochin Registration of Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act. The second venture of this charitable society is Mar Athanasius College of Engineering in 1961. The Association has also initiated a college at Adimali, Mar Baselious College, in 2003, for the benefit of students in high ranges. In tune with ‘catch them young' policy, the association also offers a broad and stimulating international educational experience at Mar Athanasius International School to groom the budding talents as global citizens. These institutions have made headway in all disciplines on account of the untiring efforts of several stalwarts, particularly that of Prof. M. P. Varghese, the dynamic visionary who headed these institutions to glory through the years as the Secretary of the College Association. Under their able and devoted leadership, the association is marching ahead with unparalleled success. The clear vision, firm determination and utmost dedication of its charioteers and the abundant blessings of God Almighty have enabled the college to make significant strides and establish itself as a centre of excellence in the field of higher education.

Mar Athanasius College Association has now more than 360 shareholders, a governing body consisting of 62 members elected by and from the shareholders. Board of studies is constituted for all programmes with two subject experts nominated by the Principal, one subject expert nominated by the Vice-Chancellor, one representative from allied area relating to placement and one postgraduate meritorious alumnus. Head of the Departments serve as the chairperson of the board.

 

Examination Cell is a statutory body constituted in accordance with the UGC guidelines for autonomous colleges. The Examination Cell is headed by the Controller of Examinations. The Principal acts as the Chief Controller of Examinations.The office of the Controller of Examinations is fully automated. It has adequate infrastructure for generating question papers, conducting evaluation work, preparing results, printing of mark lists and other relevant confidential materials. It undertakes all activities related to Continuous Internal Assessment and End Semester Examinations, publication of results and the preparation of the consolidated Tabulation Report.
