Dr. Manju Kurian

 Dr. Manju Kurian studied Chemistry at Mahatma Gandhi University, India and did her PhD at Cochin University of Science and Technology, India in 2005 under the guidance of Dr. S Sugunan. In 2005, she joined Mar Athanasius College, Kothamangalam as Assistant Professor. Dr. Kurian has made significant contributions in several areas of nanomaterials and catalysis especially on the studies related to degradation of pollutants over nanocatalysts. She has to her credit one patent on the application of chromium nanoferrites for the oxidative removal of toxic organic pollutants from water. She has authored 63 research publications in international journals and 5 book chapters in addition to three edited books and journal volumes. She has produced three PhDs and has completed research projects sponsored by DST, KSCSTE, UGC and MHRD. In addition to the research contributions, she has held various institutional responsibilities like Dean of Research, NIRF co ordinator, UGC cell co ordinator, DST co ordinator, Governing and Academic Council member etc at Mar Athanasius College Kothamangalam. Currently she serves as the Principal and Professor at Mar Athanasius College (Autonomous) Kothamangalam. She has recieved multiple awards like Berchmans Award 2023 and Fr. Dr. Jose Thekkan Award 2023 for the best college teacher in Kerala. She was also listed in the world's top 2% scientists in Stanford University Rankings 2022.
